#AMPLIFY

When you’re a small business trying to create a name for yourself, one of the biggest challenges is getting your brand known.

Social Media is an excellent way to get your brand in front of your target audience, but you can get better cut through and amplify your results much faster if you’ve got some other activations on the go.

By investing time in building and strengthen relationships with your community, you’ll start getting that brand hype factor happening faster.

So what sorts of things can you do? Here are 4 fun ideas:

1. Host an event

Whether it’s an event to celebrate a launch or a business milestone, or simply to say thanks to your supporters, events are a great way to increase your brand visibility, and an excellent opportunity to build your community.

Go beyond the fun factor though and really think about what you want to achieve. Set yourself some goals, and the think about how you can use your event to achieve that.

HOT TIP: Why not stream your events LIVE through social media! What a great way to show those who can't make it along what they're missing. With any luck, they'll join you next time!

2. Talk on a Podcast

We’ve been on the Podcast bandwagon for some time. While they've become an extremely popular way of reaching new audiences, there is still room! You just need to find an angle that hasn’t been covered, or that you can cover in a new way.

TIP: hosting your own Podcast is a BIG undertaking (just ask Rach about the Thriving In Business podcast!). So you might want to try being featured on another podcast first, to see whether it’s for you.

3.CollaboratE WITH AN EXPERT

We love collaborations for a whole bunch of reasons. One of the biggest being because they are generally fun and a great way to meet new people in business. But also because they are a great way of getting in front of another brand's audience.

Collaborations can take many forms. We’ve used them for competitions, content (e.g. guest bloggers or social takeovers) or even partners for an event! Honestly, the sky (and your budget) is the only limit here.

Some of the best collaborations are the simplest. We've seen great success from co-promotions and giveaways, resulting in massive follower increases.

4. Social Media Groups

One great way to connect with your communities in the digital world is Facebook Groups. You might have seen them pop up from time to time, you might even be involved with a couple! There’s pretty much a group for every topic and interest.

What's great about Facebook Groups is that the algorithm favours this content in the News Feed, and also gives you a notification about key topics! So it's a great way to stay in front of mind with your fans, and seeing great engagement.

TIP: Starting and running a social media group is time-consuming! So best to just get involved in someone else’s if you’re time-poor.
